Wilderness Advanced First Aid - 2026
The WAFA is a comprehensive medical training course designed for outdoor recreationalists or wilderness trip leaders who venture into moderately remote and challenging environments. The content is significantly more detailed than the Wilderness First Aid course, including emphasis on common critical body system problems and environmental topics.

The course will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 28th and will finish at approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1st 2026.
COURSE LOCATION & TRAVEL INFO
Outward Bound Center : 104, rue de la Molignée, 5537 Anhée, Belgium
The Outward Bound Center can easily be reached by car.
The nearest train station is Yvoir, at about 4 kms from the Outward Bound Center.
If you plan on taking a plane to Belgium, the easiest way to get to our course house is by flying to Brussels (not Brussels South – Charleroi!) and taking a direct train from Brussels to Yvoir.
ACCOMMODATION & CATERING
The Outward Bound Center offers 12 double/triple bedrooms.
All meals (from lunch on day 1 until lunch on the last day) will be provided by Outward Bound: breakfast and lunch in self catering, dinner will be delivered by a caterer.
You may arrive the evening of November 27th and/or stay until the morning of December 2nd if this is more convenient for you. The additional cost of 43,50€ will be charged per extra overnight stay (breakfast included). Please be aware that we don’t offer any catering on November 27th.

After registration and payment of the deposit, you will receive at the beginning of September an enrolment key which will give you access to your WMA course materials on the WMA moodle platform. WMA utilizes this learning management system for pre-course paperwork (i.e. waivers) and to disseminate information.
You will receive an invoice for the remainder of the sum. Payment of the invoice must take place no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the WAFA course. Outward Bound Belgium™ reserves the right to deny access to the course to any registrant who has not paid in full prior to the start of the course.
